John Abel,
founder of ABC in 1990, is a Chartered Engineer and Accountant with 25
years Management Consultancy experience. He is a Fellow of the Institute
of Electrical Engineers and the Institute of Business Consultants.
His assignments have been in various industries, however transition and
transformation management during outsourcing programmes and process
quality management and improvement in the telecoms sector have been
recurring themes. He has also defined and led a number of complex
programmes in large blue chip companies in the payment processing and
contract catering sectors. He has programme managed large SAP and Filenet system implementations as a well as a number of smaller
accounting system procurement and implementation programmes.
He started his career as a Project Manager working for Babcock Power in
Scotland and South Africa before going on to work as a Management
Consultant for Ernst and Young for four years.
After a period as the IT director for a publishing company, John founded
Abel Business Consulting.
